I suspect he will end up dead in the next few years with all of the other inventors of water related energy sources. Stan Meyer was also this close when he was poisoned. The gas companies will not let this go to far without controlling the whole matter. Conspiracy theory? I guess the Government will protect him. This has so much potential as an alternate energy source that my concerns switch to the health of John Kanzius. It may be true that more electromagnetic energy is expended to release and ignite the hydrogen, but move your mind over to a drop of water, and the dreams of cold fusion. You see, molecular dispersion is what is happening here, and if it can be taken further, right down to the atoms, then it might be possible to release more energy that mankind needs. It actually seems to be a small step toward's Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, and if that happens, little gizmos that do incredible things are not that far off. Harold,

More energy goes into generating the radio frequency emissions that liberate the water's hydrogen gas (which subsequently burns with atmospheric and/or released oxygen) than is created by the burning. At most, Mr. Kanzius has found an efficient way to split water into its component elements. I'm not sure about the fears of incinerating humans, because the salt concentration he's working with may be much greater than that found in living tissues. I suspect we have more to worry about from laser weapons, sonic weapons, etc. Nonsense.
